A: Both Pouch and prismatic LiFePO4 battery can be safe when used properly, Pouch LiFePO4 battery are generally considered to be the safer option due to their flexible casing, improved thermal management, and reduced risk of internal short circuits and swelling.

A: No. GoKWh 12V & 24V Series LiFePO4 batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

Q: Can this GoKWh 12V & 24V Series LiFePO4 battery be combined with a 12V lead acid battery bank?
A: No, you can’t. All the GoKWh 12V & 24V Series batteries you connect together should have the same capacity (Ah), the same voltage (V), and most importantly, the same battery type (LFP). And it would be better if they came from the same brand.

Q: Does the GoKWh 12V & 24V Series LiFePO4 batteries feature low-temperature cut-off protection?
A: As is widely recognized, charging LiFePO4 cells at low temperatures can cause some damage. Therefore, GoKWh LiFePO4 batteries have built-in BMS with integrated temperature monitoring. When the battery temperature drops below 0°C(32°F), the BMS activates the low-temperature cut-off function, disconnecting the power supply to protect the battery.

Q: Can I charge GoKWh 12V & 24V Series LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?
A: No. GoKWh 12V & 24V Series LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).

Q: Can I charge GoKWh 12V & 24V Series LiFePO4 batteries with solar panels?
A: Yes, you can charge GoKWh 12V & 24V Series batteries with solar panels. You should size your charge controller based on the voltage and current output of your solar array setup. That will ensure that your charge controller can process and regulate the power coming from your solar panels. Take a 24V MAX. 22 amps output solar system as example. You would need a solar charge controller that can handle 24 volts and 27.5 amps (125% of your max current output).
